Fred’s POV

Incoming text… “what day is their alpha leaving town?”. I may have let slip that Liam was leaving town, hence leaving his Luna alone. As I look at my bandaged arm, I feel a pang of guilt. No one has ever been that nice to me, especially not a Luna. I’ve never really belonged anywhere.

My wolf Beau chimes in, “stop feeling sorry for yourself. You told us this was the last job so we can get out of this line of work once and for all”. Beau turns his eye to my side jobs. Ever since our mate died, we’ve been somewhat depressed but needed money. We sort of got looped into this work. Beau agreed to do it on one condition, that we were only involved in the catching part but nothing further.

We don’t exactly like this job and I have started to feel more like a member in Dan’s pack. He’s been so good to us, even though we lied from the get-go. “Yes Beau, as promised, last job”. Part of me wanted to blow the whole thing off. Luna has been nothing but nice to me

I totally get it. I was 25 when I started sating my [now] husband and he was 30 at the time, and we would bake together, dance to Disney songs and watch Disney movies... When our daughter was 9 months old we went on our 14 month late honeymoon (lol) and went to Disney and had a blast =D
