Chapter 7

Two days passed, but Sarra had not been found.  The police are still continuing to search.  Some of Sarra's friends and those who had contact with her in the last few days before her disappearance were also questioned.  We are no exception, her best friends.

I'm still confused.  The last day we met was when we worked on a task together and ended by playing a board game Ouija Board with other friends.  It's nothing wrong at all.

Classes just start.  No one lesson entered my head.  As if everything Mrs.  Allea is just a passing wind.  My mind was filled with the girl's thoughts.  Until the lesson ended, I was still thinking about Sarra.

 “Beverly!”

I was shocked when Helen snapped right beside my ear, “Oh my God, Helen, what's wrong with you?  Can't you speak quietly, I'm not deaf!"

“I have called you many times.  But you just sat there daydreaming.”

 "Sorry," I said indifferently.

Helen sat on the side and stroked my shoulder, “We are all the same as you.  We lost a best friend.  But we should continue our live, right?  I'm sure, sooner or later, Sarra will be found."  she said with a smile.

Helen is right.  I can't be like this.  It won't help find Sarra.  I rubbed my face.  Helen took my hand and led me to the canteen.  There is no choice at this time but to comply with her wishes.  It would be foolish to just sit in class thinking about something that obviously has no end.

We walked down the hall to the canteen.  Helen kept on talking, but my brain caught little of her words.  The look of sadness and loss was still evident on his face.  Helen's eyes were also slightly swollen, she must have been crying for a long time.  Her mouth kept talking about all things that are not important.  Sometimes she even laughs at her jokes which are not funny at all.  It was obvious she was trying to hide her sadness.  Every now and then I laugh and smile, even though I honestly have no intention of doing it.  For Helen's sake, to make her better.

Our conversation was interrupted when several children suddenly ran towards the bathroom.  There must be someone fighting, it's not uncommon for them to be watching and cheering.  Helen pulled my hand and asked me to take a look, but I refused and preferred to go to the canteen.  There is no point.

"Mark, what's wrong?"  Hana asked Mark who was running towards us.

"Henry. He got hurt in the toilet."

Helen and I looked at each other and immediately ran to the men's room.  The crowd of students made it difficult for us to see Henry's condition.  It looks like Kate came in a hurry with a first aid kit on the accident.  Helen who saw that immediately grabbed it without saying anything.  What's wrong with her?

Kate just gawked at what my best friend was doing.  Helen quickly grabbed my hand and told the crowd of students to get out of the way.  It turns out that Helen is quite smart when pressed.

What we saw was truly shocking.  There were deep scratch marks on Henry's face and neck.  Blood continued to flow down the clothes and the floor.  I immediately opened the first aid kit and wiped the blood on his face with a cotton swab.  Henry's white uniform had partially changed to red.  She kept moaning in pain while leaning against the wall.

The crowd of students suddenly dispersed when a woman's voice ordered them not to gather here.  Apparently the owner of the voice was Mrs.  Susan.  She wanted to take Henry to the hospital, but the boy refused.  How hard is Mrs.  Susan tried to persuade Henry, but the boy stubbornly refused.  Until Mrs.  Susan had no choice and gave Henry take off from the class.  Henry refused to go home, he chose to wait in the school health room.  We escorted Henry to the school health unit room.

“What happened to you?”  Helen tried to ask.

"Something attack me," Henry said in pain.

 "What do you mean something?"

Alex and Kevin approached us.  They had just left because they had extra classes and came with us to drop Henry off.

No words were spoken between us.  Helen and I together treated Henry's wound.  Alex sat on the bed used for laying students.  As for Kevin, he sat on the bench near Henry's bed.  We were completely lost in each other's thoughts.  Only Henry occasionally grimaced in pain when Helen applied antiseptic to his wound.

"What exactly happened to you?"  Alex opened the conversation.

 “The entity. He attacked me.”

 "What entity?"  asked Alex.

“What a terrifying entity.”  Henry's lips trembled.  “His eyes were burning red.  Small holes were all over my face, making me feel scared and nauseous."

A tear fell from his eye.  Neither of us took our eyes off him.  Alex got out of bed.

"Hey, Buddy.  Are you okay?"  Kevin grabbed his shoulder.

He remained silent with trembling lips.

 'BRAKK!'

 "How is the condition?"

The door is open by Mrs.  Susan.  We stayed silent, let her to see how Henry was doing.

"You all do better go back to class because class has started.  Let him rest!"

We cheered him on and made sure he was okay before we left.  I'm honestly not sure that would make it any better.  Seeing him staring blankly ahead make me worry about him.  I'm not sure he'll be all right.  I want to pick him up to go home.

During the last lesson, my mind was restless and I often looked outside.  The clock on the wall above the blackboard seemed to walk slowly or not at all.  One minute feels like an hour.  Looking at Helen, apparently she felt the same way.  We speak with code eyes.

The bell ringing mean it was time to go home.  Helen and I quickly packed up our books and laptops, then ran to the school health unit room with the others.  But no one was there.  I thought Henry had gone home first and left his bag which is now in Kevin's hands.

Kevin took the initiative to ask Mr.  Marco, a school caretaker, remembers that Mrs. Susan told him to keep Henry.  Meanwhile me, Helen and Alex waited in the parking lot.

We waited a long time, finally Kevin came too.  He said that when Mr.  Marco arrived in the room there was no one in the room.  He thought that Henry was back in class.  Of course that made us even more worried.

Helen tries to call him, but Henry's cell phone is in Kevin's bag.  There was no other way, to make sure he was okay we had to go to his house.  I immediately called my mom and said I would be home late today.

Mrs.  Swanson was seen watering the flower plants in his yard.  Helen and I got out of the car, followed by Kevin and Alex who were in different cars.

Mrs.  Swanson seemed a little taken aback by our arrival.  The women smiled and greeted warmly.

"Hi, Mrs.  Swanson," said Sarra with a smile.

 "Hi, Sweetheart.  How are you?”

 "I'm good. How about you?"

"Fine, thanks"

Mrs. Swanson looking around between us.

“Hey, what made you guys come here and where is Henry?”

 We looked at each other.

“Actually we came here to ask about Henry.  We thought he was home," Kevin said.

"What? Nope.  He's not home yet."

We looked at each other again with a worried look.

"What's going on?"  Mrs.  Swanson looked worried.

Of course.  Which mother is not worry to see the arrival of her child's friends who have just returned from school.  Even though their own kids is not home yet.

Kevin nervously tried to explain, “Henry was found injured in the bathroom.  He has been treated but we left him alone in the school health unit room because we have class.  But when we got back to the room, Henry wasn't there."

 "WHAT?!"
