Chapter 27: Fireworks
Luke was sitting across Mrs. Creowood at her office and for some weird reason, she gave him a hot chocolate drink with marshmallows while continuing her work at her desk. The warmth of the mug spread to his hands and thighs as it lessened the coldness he experienced since the beginning he received the drink.
Patiently waiting for her to be done, he was subtly playing with it as he slowly turned it from right to left and left to right while staring at numerous colored marshmallows moving along the flow and faintly giggling from the shallow fun.
A few minutes later, Mrs. Creowood was done and her assistant left the room. She took her coffee and drank it before clearing her throat.
