Up into the mountain

“How long we are going to hike?” I asked Aren when we were prepared to hike the mountain. He looks at me with a confusion on his face. “What? Something’s wrong?”

Somehow, probably trying not to offend me, he scratches his head and awkwardly said, “The thing is miss, we don’t know how a human could hike as fast as we could, we could reach the village in four hours, by shifting into our wolves form.”

My face went paler. “What do you mean that you need to shift to go back and forth to your village?! What about the sorcerers?”

“Well, they have their car, but to reach our village with a car would be dangerous because of the steep cliff, especially when two days ago we have some fatalities in a car accident. Trust me, it would be better to reach our village by foot.” Said Aren.

I take glimpse at the mountain, and took a long sigh. This is going to be a handful of a journey for me. Aaron pat
