Chapter 53 – I’ll Talk to Her

Back at the Lester Drake Media building; Emmett and Lester had head of maintenance, Mario in Lester’s office. Lester had received the police report on what happened. Once the explosives were safely removed; the control panel had a stalling device on it. It was triggered when the elevator opened on the third floor.

“All we are asking is why, you weren’t at your post yesterday?” Lester questions. His voice may have been calm; the piercing glare he was giving, made Mario nervous.

“Nobody was here in maintenance” Mario states; looking between Emmett and Lester, not wanting to stick around if one of them cracked.

“That much we know” Emmett scoffs; shifting his position on the sofa. “We want to know why there was nobody here.”
