Chapter 20

The rest of the party is a blur, I spend almost every second obsessing about what's going on between us. Angie and I leave the party together and I spend the whole ride home thinking about Mason.

The elevator opened on my floor and I froze. Down the hall, standing by the door to my apartment, was Mason.

He had a key but for some reason he was waiting outside my door for me.

For the smallest fraction of a second, less time than it took to inhale a full breath of air, I got excited.

He was standing at my door, and that was everything.

With a solemn expression and my eyes forward, I strutted toward my apartment.

I opened the door and stepped inside when it opened, he followed me in without a word he looked composed and put together like he always did, but there was something different in his eyes something I'm not quite sure what it is.

"I shouldn't have done that." Mason says as he watched me remove my shoes by the door.

"Done what?" I ask knowing completely he was regretting kissing m
