Shlok's POV

She emerged from the water, wet, struggling to clear her vision as droplets clung to her lashes. She was, coughing and spluttering, her hair a tangled mess around her face. Without hesitation, I pulled her up, urging her to stand.

"You fool, can't you follow simple instructions?" I scolded, feeling a surge of irritation. But she resisted, just as she always did.

Shaking my head in disbelief, I lifted her onto my shoulder, and I trudged across the riverbank. Once there, I dropped her unceremoniously, annoyed at her stubbornness.

As she struggled to regain her composure, I couldn't help but notice her discomfort, her soaked shoes hindering her movements.

"You need to get out of those wet clothes, or you'll catch a fever," I advised, swallowing my frustration. She dismissed my concern with a stubborn refusal.

"No!! They'll dry on their own," she insisted, her defiance grating on my nerves.

"Please, just change into dry clothes. It's for your own sake," I urged, feeling a pang
