I sauntered down the hallway heading to Cassar's office.

My limp from the previous night, barely noticeable.

The same two guards still watching the door. When they heard me coming, their backs stiffened and they stood up straighter. They each moved a step closer to the door.

I stood in front of the identical males, sizing them both up. They looked like the perfect guard dogs. More Doberman, then wolf.

The one kept looking straight ignoring me, while the other quickly took in my bruised face, flinched, then looked away.

It had only been a couple of hours since my fight with the Alpha. Thanks to my shifter healing, the damage wasn't too noticeable.

Though Cassar had never actually hit me, which had only angered me more, tumbling down stairs and bashing into furniture still did a number on me.
