MIA’S POV

“How sweet.”

Cheska jokingly giggled seeing the flowers delivered in our room. It came from Nixon. He is formally courting me now, and didn’t expect he would be serious.

“A bouquet of red roses,” I smelled the flowers. They were freshly picked and still smell like morning breeze.

“He’s officially courting you. Congratulations. Now don’t act silly because that doesn’t mean that you are going to accept his love. There’s more thing to do.”

“He knows that, and he is patient,” I defended Nixon a bit.

“Whatever. You are not going to be her girl. Don’t complicate things.”

Am I making it complicated? As far as I know, I am only allowing Nixon to court me, not to be his girlfriend yet, because no matter how I tried, Davon still owns my heart.

Staying in the island has been fun so far. The vacation was worth it, and Nixon effortlessly entertained us. Cheska may not showing it, but she appreciate the gesture, but not his friends.

“Come on! Pass the ball!” Theo yelled.
