Chapter Thirty-five

Edward's heart weighed heavily with guilt as he left the room. His thoughts swirled with regret and self-doubt. "How could I betray my mate like this?" he whispered to himself, sinking onto the edge of the bed. Disappointment washed over him, and he knew he had to find a way to make things right with Olivia. "I can't let this go on any longer," he muttered to himself.

The next day, Edward prepared a diamond ring, with determination driving him forward. He made his way to Olivia's house, his heart pounding with both hope and anxiety. This was his chance to express his true feelings and seek forgiveness.

Edward stood at Olivia's doorstep, he took a deep breath to steady himself. He knocked on the door, his palms sweating, while waiting anxiously for her to answer. When Olivia opened the door and their eyes met, Edward's voice trembled with sincerity. "Olivia, I have something important to ask you," he began softly.
