Chapter 8

After the incident with the drink spilled on the book, I cleaned myself up first before going back to face Thane. I didn't need much time to simply clean my body. I finally finished it in just a few minutes and quickly put on new clothes.

I didn't change much from my previous appearance except for the clothes. I only combed my long hair until it was smooth and then used only the necessary makeup.

Once I was done, I went out of the room and searched for Thane's whereabouts.

"Where did he go?" I murmured curiously.

I glanced around the room I'd searched. However, there was no sign of Thane anywhere until a servant brought a tray of drinks to the lounge.

"Right, I haven't checked that room yet," I muttered as I walked towards the lounge.

I stepped into the lounge, and sure enough, he was there. As my steps approached, not once did Thane turn around. His body was facing out the window, looking up at the sky that was so clear today. I decided to sit on the sofa not far from Thane's posi
