Be Gone For A Month

The next day, I woke up with a peaceful smile on my face as I stretched my aching body. I instinctively used my hand to check the other side of the bed if Alpha Galan was still there but as usual he wasn't. Disappointment washed over me as I used the duvet to cover myself in disappointment.

Why was I expecting him to be there? I asked myself inwardly.

"I'm here." His voice resounded in my ears as I turned around to look at the man who was walking towards me.

Seeing that he was fully dressed in a black tailored suit, holding a briefcase, I knew immediately that he was going to a business meeting or had business to attend to.

He sat beside me and placed a quick kiss on my forehead. I was stunned speechless by his attempts but tried to conceal it. Didn't know he had this gentleman thing in him.

"You off to work?" I managed to ask, holding the bedsheet.

"Yes, I'll be gone for days." He said, removing the strands of hair that fell on my face.

"Days? How many days?" I asked, sitting uprigh
