Unpredictable Alpha

Hastily, I got downstairs only to find both men busy with their personal computers. I cleared my throat to gain an audience from them and they turned to look at me in unison.

"Oh, you're here," Marcus said as he kept his personal computer aside and Alpha Galan did the same.

Alpha Galan gestured to sit beside him and I did that without hesitation.

"So, we've gathered here again because of you, Theia." Alpha Galan started with the discussion, crossing his elegant long legs.

"Okay?" I nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me about your grandmother's health?" He gazed at me, causing me to swallow hard.

"I didn't mean to, I just didn't want to bother you with it," I said.

He narrowed his eyes and slowly turned away. "Now, I'm bothered. Anyways, how many more days do you think she has left? Do you think she can make it up to the end of the year?"
