“I’m sorry,” Celine muttered in a soft voice, “I shouldn’t have done that. This is all my fault.”

Roman looked down at her, confused.

“No! It isn’t your fault,” he insisted.

“I should have known better. The second we kissed, I got carried away. And now I messed things up…” she trailed off, unable to meet his gaze.

“This isn’t your fault.”

“That may be true, but I still feel like it is. I’ve ruined it.”

“No, you haven’t. Stop making excuses. I love you. No one else has to know.”

Celine frowned, “I don’t know…”

“Why not?” Roman urged.

Celine looked at him sheepishly before lowering her head, “Because I feel like people will expect me to leave you for somebody else. I don’t want to leave you. I want you to stay with me forever. That’s not fair to either of us. We both deserve happiness.”
