Chapter 24 : Too Many Questions

My head was throbbing when I opened my eyes. My body felt worn and tired from all the rough activities the day before. I stretched lightly and felt a sting through my ribs. My arms and legs felt stiff, and I groaned leaning back into my pillow.

I threw my arm over to the other side to see that Jaxon was no longer there. I sighed and groaned again. I didn't really expect him to linger and wake up cuddling me. But waking up alone after such a night made me feel like a cheap whore. I felt sore and wounded inside as well. F*ck. I stretched my arm out again and felt a large stack of papers.

I sat up slowly and pulled the papers onto my lap. There was a note on top from Jaxon.

'Sara. Here's the information you'll need for the manuscript. I expect to see some real work soon. Jaxon.'
