Chapter Thirty-One

Zion

“He should be here by now …” I said while looking at the time.

Earlier when I called him, he should have been here in two minutes. I turned to Crystal, and it was just silent as I stared at the moon from the window. I turned my attention to the door as your doorbell rang.

“Maybe that's Howard,” I heard Crystal say.

I stood up to open it, but the only surprise was that Howard never rang the doorbell. He already knows the passcode, and he just enters himself.

Making sure, I peeked at who it was and saw Howard. Weirdly, he doesn’t speak. I opened the door and was greeted by Howard as it suddenly fell on my body.

“What the? Howard …”

I shake his body, but he looks paralyzed. What happened? I lifted him a little to support him properly when he suddenly whispered something.
