I took a deep breath, the air feeling thick with sorrow, and I spoke to myself in a voice filled with determination. "Azure, you can't let this despair consume you now. My mind raced with worries for Beatriz and Francine. Francine, carrying our child, needed to be safe. I hoped with all my being that they were unharmed, that they had found refuge amidst the devastation.
