CHAPTER 44: The Unos

Tallulah Primiera's POV

"May paparating."  Tallyne warned us, so I was forced to stop stabbing her back when she suddenly stood up and covered her body behind a Narra tree. She signed silence while waiting for the enemies to leave.

Another minute passed, and I already heard footsteps and voices nearby. When she assured us that no one else left, she gave us a thumbs up.

"Akala ko mahahalata nila tayo. Are you okay?"

I just looked down. Hindi ako sana'y na tinatanong at kinakamusta ng ibang tao. I'm happy alone and independent. Matagal na akong nabubuhay na mag-isa at sumusunod lang sa mga utos.

I don't have friends nor family at bilang lieutenant ng DQM ay sapat na para sabihing may rason ang buhay ko.

I believe my existence doesn't really matter to anyone.

"Medyo mataray ka rin no? Pero salamat pa rin at tinulungan mo kami." She followed up.
