Distraction

Grace's POV

The minute Davis stepped into the house, I held him by the hand and began to pull him upstairs. Except, I couldn't escape Helen.

“Daddy!” She screamed and rushed to hug him. I groaned angrily before turning away. I went back to sit on one of the couches while Davis picked Helen up.

Soon, Helen was already telling her father how fast the delivery lady had come to deliver the gown to her. How she loves the gown so much and many more useless things that I couldn't help but wish she would just stop talking first.

Davis, on the other hand, paid so much attention that I wonder if he wasn't tired or if he didn't have anything else he wanted to do than to listen to Helen. His eyes were fixed on Helen's lips as she spoke, and the smile never left his lips.

My legs were beginning to tap on the floor and my fingers were on my lap as I was already getting impatient at the two. They didn't seem to notice my mood, and they continued to speak until Adrianna called,

“Helen, come check
