Chapter 128 – Breath, Aya. Fight, Myra

(Aya’s POV)

“I’m not letting you take my daughter without a fight, Myra.”

I thought of calling Red, but what I needed right now was a lawyer. A damn good one! My hands were trembling as I browsed for Mike’s number. I knew he would ask his driver to return here when I called for help, but her yelling made me toss aside my plan.

“Katie!” she yelled, calling my daughter and walking toward my old bedroom. “Come to mommy. I’m taking you home.”

“You’re crazy!” I cried in anger, grabbing her arm and stopping her.

“No, Aya! You’re crazy!” she snarled at me, brushing off my hand. “You shouldn’t have poisoned my daughter’s mind. You should have told her the truth.”

“You want me to tell your daughter you abandoned her? That you wrote me a letter and told me she’s a hindrance to your dream!” My whole body shivered in anger, grabbing her arm again. “Is that what you want?”
