Before having Aya in our lives, the kitchen was never our favorite part of the house. For my kids and me, it was a place where the household cooks and prepares the food, nothing else, but as soon as I arrived in The Sophia House, it was the first room I went to when I could not find her in the common room which included a shared kitchen for the guests and the living room. It was an additional part of the lodge when they renovated the place, and the old kitchen of The Sophia House stayed where it was but became Aya’s sanctuary.
