KATE woke up with a heavy head that morning. Maybe because she stayed up late last night finishing her schoolwork. They would go out to play golf with Jan’s friends, so there would be no time left for her to do it later that day. Jan was no longer beside her that morning, and when she went to the bathroom, it was empty. Ah, perhaps he had gone downstairs for breakfast.
