Chapter 46: Unexpected Travel Partners

I was the last one to board; the boarding agent almost stopped me, informing me that the final call had been made ten minutes ago. I had to plead with them to let me on the plane, and I might have even been forced to invent a lie, saying that my grandfather was very ill and that this might be my only chance to see him alive.

Breathless, I carried my carry-on luggage, searching for my seat. I encountered some familiar faces as I walked down the first-class aisle. Anna waved at me, seated next to Will. I also saw Zara and Jack a little further ahead.

When I found my seat, my entire body froze, and I felt my irritation explode. No. No. This can't be.

"This must be a joke," I grumbled, catching his attention, trying to ignore how delicious he looked, casually dressed in dark blue jeans and a white shirt with the top buttons undone and that damn rebellious hair, so damn sexy.
