22- Leonidas

The man arrived some hours before the sunset.

Leonidas and his Father were already in the throne room, Dimitris first (because he was already bored out of his wits, again and gladly escaped one more time) with his Ares Familia guard and Leonidas, with his Caretaker.

He was not sure of what he had expected to see but he doubted it was what he eventually saw.

One of the male slaves held him as he walked down the carpet to them, a walking stick in his hand.

He did not wear the traditional dress for the slaves but instead a long loose white cloth and a sort of scarf around his face with his eyes shut close.

He is blind, Leonidas thought in admiration but noticed also that the man seemed to walk like every step was his last.

He looked impossibly frail and weak, and if he was immortal, old enough to be as old as Renatus.

When the man was finally close enough, the slave bowing and exiting, Leonidas stood from his chair and said, "Wel-"

"Which one of you sent for me?"
