Evelyn POV

I choked on a piece of chicken. Literally choked on a piece of meat and not the fun kind! The paramedics were called to the restaurant when Kade was unable to help me with the Heimlich. The amount of embarrassment I felt from the spectacle I created was enough for an entire lifetime.

After I confirmed for the fifth time with the paramedic that I was okay and didn’t need to go to the hospital, they finally left the scene.
