Chapter 47

Drake had regained consciousness after going through a wave of pain. He realised he was in a hospital bed with Gina, weeping outside at the glass window while doctors and nurses did their jobs by trying to save his life.

His vision still felt a bit blear and his voice weak from the pain and aggression he went through but slowly and with time, all of them went away as he drifted to sleep. He woke up again and found himself in a different room with drips all over him and oxygen right on his nose.

He tried to move a little but felt some sharp pain on some parts of his body. He strained his neck a bit to see bandages all over his left arms and legs. As for his covered belly he could not see, but was definitely sure there was some covered there.

He saw his father sitting on one of the chairs in the room with his head in his hands. He further looked around to see a nurse checking on any improvement in his health. Drake wanted to alert them that he was awake by speaking, but he was too weak
