I finished my breakfast, looking around the table at everyone else. Everyone was part of their little conversations except for me and Lucas, who was too focused on cutting his apple. William was talking to Patrick across the table, Sebastian with Isabelle, and Elizabeth with Sarah and Fiona. I sat in the middle, listening to them talking over me about Leonardo DiCaprio and how he hasn't won an Oscar yet.
I didn't fit. I was the complete opposite of everyone here. I didn't enjoy talking to people, or socializing much unless it was vital. I'd rather be answering emails or talking to Beth or Paul, the only people I could act as myself around. I felt my heart accelerate, and knew it would be best if I took a long bath, and call Beth for some best friend guidance. I just had to figure out how to get up without being rude.

When we made it back to the manor, I was still heated. Heated about the fact that I let myself look vulnerable in front of William when that is the exact opposite of what I was supposed to do, and heated that I broke my heel. The landscapers were staring at me as I limped to the front door. Half way there, I gave up and just took both of my heels off and carried them. Gerard offered to hold them for me but I declined his generous offer. I went into the living room and sat down on the couch. The TV was off, but classical music was playing throughout the surround sound in the living room. I decided to leave the TV off and bask in the soothing sounds of Bach, or Mozart, or Beethoven, whoever it was. "Hey, Leslie." A voice to my right said. I turned to find Lucas, sitting on the couch eating a hamburger with potato chips, scrolling on his
The only talking that came out of anyone was from Elizabeth. She went on and on about basically everything, and her brothers seemed to be the only ones truly annoyed. She talked about charity, good morals, Tennessee, Graham Crackers, curly hair, Tom Hiddleston and how she had met him once, with Sarah responding in disbelief that Elizabeth got to meet her imaginary husband. As they drifted off into a silent conversation, I prayed that it would stay this way. Sebastian and William were still mad about the who-gets-what-seat incident, which led them to take a vow of silence.Suddenly, I felt a slight nudge coming from my right."So what should I expect when I-weget there?" He whispered."Well, it isn't some ditch in the ro
I sat in my room, staring the giant Teddy Bear down, which sat across from me on the small sofa. Even though the fair was a success I couldn't push myself to send the pictures me and Sarah took of Sebastian and of him at the festivities to Garret. All I could think about was that stupid gigantic Teddy Bear that I didn't even want. When Fiona saw it in my arms she asked how I got it, and William just had to tell the truth. She had a weird look that was filled with happiness when he answered, which kind of scared me in a way. I was lucky that the stupid bear fit into the back of the SUV in the trunk; I could avoid explaining to everyone how I received the thing. When we got back I asked Gerard to take it up to my room when everyone was inside. Various questions ran through my mind as I stared at the stuffed animal: Why did William take
After dinner, which ended up being only me, Lucas and Patrick since everyone went to sleep early, I went back up to my room and opened my laptop. My mind was a bit more cleared now, so I decided to send the photos to Garret now rather than tomorrow. The first five photos were the ones that Sarah took. The best one was of Sebastian shaking hands with the Mayor of Maryville; that was one I could email to Darcy as well. I expected this photo to be in the Maryville Buzz which was the quaint town newspaper that they had. Around the beginning of next week Sebastian would be front page. The rest were of him with the press, shaking hands with representatives of the charity and of course of him with the president of USFFE. These pictures were gold, and I knew Garret would be content. I clicked the arrow to take me to the next picture, which was a photo of Sebastian and the small piglet he was hol
I'm meetin' my buddies out on the lake, We're headin' out to that special place we love...that just a few folks know. I looked up, trying to figure out who was singing, but heard nothing. Everyone else was silent as we cruised out farther into the lake, with the exception of Sarah complaining. Then the singing started again Come on in the water's fine, just idle on over and toss us a line-- "Sebastian, if you don't shut the hell up with that redneck singing I swear!" Isabella yelled. Sebastian, who was steering in the back of the canoe behind Lucas was cracking up, which made majority of the canoe start laughing along with him. William, who wa
After I showered, I sat on my bed and opened my laptop, but just stared at the screen blankly. Surprisingly, today was a total success. Despite the lake accident, Mr. Muller was extremely entertained watching us out on the water, and said that Sebastian would be a great addition to Harrison inc. Thank God. I logged into my Yahoo account and emailed Garret about today's endeavor, leaving out the part about Billy Mane and the capsized canoe. Within minutes, he replied back stating that he was ecstatic about the success. I smiled to myself at his comment. Garret was seeing me as more of a publicist, but a life changer of sorts. As I began typing my reply to Garret I felt my phone vibrating on my bed. I picked it up and noticed that it was Beth. When I answered it, I had no chance to greet my best friend as she was screaming excitedly.
"Jesus this isn't happening..." Sebastian rested his head in between his legs. The stress in his voice was overwhelming, but unfortunately I couldn't concentrate on his emotions at the moment. Right now I had to focus on getting this cleaned up.Apparently, Maria Lombardi came out with a statement about her "pregnancy" about two days ago on Sunday. Since we were at the lake all day I didn't get notified about anything going on, and Darcy, being busy with Garret's departure didn't get the news until this morning."What else can you tell me about the situation Darcy, you have to give me more." Darcy was mumbling to herself as she typed on the computer. We turned another corner that led to the freeway entrance. Sebastian, having a nervous break down at the moment, didn't flinch at the sudden jolt.
