Insecurity about herself and fear of her father's reaction are not doing her any good. He still sees her crying her eyes out. Many women in her town have told her that she's not pretty, but she took their sentences as compliments because they were jealous of her. However, today, when he described her as not pretty enough to satisfy any man, it broke her badly. Well, she is not here to satisfy any man. She was here for her studies, but this man always makes her regret her decision.

"You aren't beautiful," he said.

"I know!" she shouted while crying.

"You are far beyond the word beautiful," he said, and she looked at him with her teary eyes. He gazed at her with affection.

"The word 'beautiful' is not enough to describe your beauty," he said.

"Shut up," she said in between her sobs.

"No, trust me, Ember. You are very beautiful, and I love every feature of yours. I was just joking. I didn't mean to hurt you," he said as he slid near her.
