Chapter 43

The walk down to the club this morning was different, There was something terribly wrong and I could feel it in my bones. I walked down the stairs and for the first time I didn’t see anyone lurking around, I checked my wristwatch for the time and it was still pretty early for the club to be this empty. For a Friday afternoon, my workers are starting work late.

As I watched the whole club, something felt different. It was more like the whole place had been cleaned and prepared the same way only that it was done quite early. I tried to place a call to Stephan and see if he had anything to do with this but a voice stopped me.

“You must be the Alissa I’ve been hearing about, so nice of you to finally join us” Someone called out from the bar arena and I turned to look at her. Something about the way she was staring made me feel self-conscious like I wasn’t worth being in her presence. I didn’t like this woman and something was telling me that it was about to be hell with her.
