Dillon's mother and Mirabel strode in majestically. The duo radiated a sophisticated and intimidating aura.

Ivy had a bad premonition when she saw the luggage with them. Who wants to start living with them?

"Oh! My son. You must be surprised to see me here tonight," Dillon's mother muttered, taking her seat on one of the sofas. She instructed Mirabel to sit beside her and keep her luggage beside the stairs.

"Mom! What are you doing here tonight? I thought I left your side a while ago," The smile on his face had frozen. Fear and confusion were apparent in his eyes. Ivy gave him a questionable gaze. Has he already gone to her side? And didn't deem it fit to let her know about it?

"I brought your wife home," She simply answered, placing her leg on the other.

"Mom!"

That was the only word he managed to utter.

"What are you still waiting for, Mirabel? Common take your bags to his bedroom,"
