Her Decision

Leandro wrapped his arms around Larisa tightly. He shut his eyes, feeling the warmth of her body pressing against his in the cold, pouring rain.

"I am sorry I am such a monster. I love you too, Larisa. I love you so much" he let out a heavy breath of relief.

Holding her in his arms right now felt like he was holding his life in his arms. The both of them remained that way for about a minute more before Larisa pulled away from the hug to stare at his face.

"Why didn't you just stay in your car when it started raining?" She asked him in a scolding tone.

"Because that would not seem sincere enough, Risa. I swear I did not mean for any of these to happen. I fucking swear..." Larisa placed her index finger on his lips, stopping him from saying more.

"Let's go inside first, shall we?"

Leandro nodded and picked Larisa up in his arms. He carried her into the house and grandma was there in the living room, a smile on her face.
