Chapter Sixty-Four

ELLE POV

My eyelids flutter open, and the light from the early morning sun peaking in through the curtains is practically blinding, which is not the wake-up call I was anticipating today; turning to my side, I find Damon sleeping peacefully on the back while one hand rests behind his head.

'Damn, that is one fine Alpha,' an unknown voice reverberates throughout my head. 'The things I'd let him do to me could fill a book.' The voice continues, blissfully unaware of my confusion.

'Uh, hello?' I ask, 'Who are you?'

'You can't be that dense,' the voice chuckles, 'We just walked through a big giant ball of light together; you can't possibly forget already.' That's when it comes rushing back to me, the hillside with Selene, and our conversation.

'So you're my wolf?' I ask, cautiously letting the words roll off my tongue slowly, my mouth struggling to form them.
