Big Embarrassment

Zee followed behind Darien, trying to meet up with his fast pace, but it was just impossible. Darien’s anger was all over him, it was intense, it was radiating. It could be felt by everyone. It was different from his usual coldness. As a matter of concern, it surpassed his usual cold attitude. As they arrived at their private layer, Zee tried to avoid coming in contact with him, but Darien pulled her by the wrist into his office.

Frightened, Zee found herself taking retreating steps backward as Darien approached her with that angry look in his eyes. She wanted to speak, she wanted to explain what transpired back there, but she was tongue-tied, and trembling. She continued to retreat until her butt hit the desk. Now stuck in the middle of him and the desk, she could feel the danger oozing from Darien, and it terrified her to the core. And, as if their closeness wasn’t enough already, Darien put his hands on each side of the desk, enclosing her, so she couldn’t escape.
