Chapter Twenty Two

Maya’s POV

“Maybe I should howl and shout for help” that was the first thing that came to my head and I went for it.

My shouts pierce through the room as I leap onto the bed, attempting to emulate the eerie howls of my werewolf.

The loud sounds of my shoutings and of my cries fills the space, but an unsettling silence engulfs my solitude. No one comes, and no knocks resonate against my door.

The desperation in my voice seems to be absorbed by the walls, leaving me alone in the symphony of my own emotions.

I leap off the bed, frustration etched on my face. Moonlight filters through the curtains, casting shadows that dance along with my turbulent thoughts.

I pace, the weight of unspoken words pressing on my shoulders.

As the imaginary werewolf's cries linger in my mind, I yearn for a connection, someone to share the intensity of my emotions.

The silence mocks me, amplifying the emptiness in my heart.
