Chapter Hundred-Four.

Joan barged through the emergency doors of the hospital right next to the bed on which Frederick was wheeled in with. Her eyes darted to the many faces of the paramedics that surrounded her and her foster father was handed over to a bunch of doctors.

“We’ll take it from here” A hand struck out to her chest to hold her back and Joan suddenly began to breathe heavily because that meant since the ambulance, she was to finally let go of his cold hands. “Listen to me” The doctor faced her watery eyes and she recognized him from the first time she was here.

She really needed this—a familiar face, and assurance.

“Is he going to make it? Is he going to be okay?” She quizzed, holding firmly to the sleeves of his scrubs and Enzo pressed his lips together, afraid to give her an affirmative answer. The tear dropped down her cheeks but he grazed the corners of her Joan’s jaw to look into her eyes.

“I know Frederick.”

“He knows me, he knows i’m the best at what i do. I will try my best, Joan. You’
