Chapter Sixty-Two.

The metals from his handcuffs clanged against each other the moment he set his hands to the table before him. He had shackles around his ankles as well which made it a lot harder for him to move.

It was why when Colton finally took a seat, he heaved from his chapped lips, a breath of relief. Sheriff Steven didn't cut him some slack as their eyes immediately locked with shared hostility.

"What do you want from me?" Colton dared to be rude.

The only outcome that ever came from that was his face being bashed in, but that was after some altercation with an inmate here. He was barely thriving but he wasn't willing to let go of his tough skin. Stevens leaned forward with a piece of paper in his hands.
