“I’m not saying i’m in love with him”

Isabella whined with a cheeky smile, crossing her legs behind Joan’s back. Her best friend rested against her, letting her head fall back in twisting hands. She was braiding her hair on this hot Sunday morning, reminiscing about how dreamy the last week was.

“I’m just saying i really, really like him.” Isabella said and Joan only returned a narrow gaze. “That’s an awful lot reallys” She teased and pushing the back of her head, Isa replied. “Shut up—“

Deep down she knew, Joan was right.

Each day, leaving the house—all she ever looked forward to was sighting him by the portico, waiting by his windows with flowers. Daniel said he wasn’t used dating but Isabella always thought he lied because he was perfect at it, even though he had never fully asked her out yet.
