Aaron was still seated on the ground, not able to process everything, and his wolf, Rex, was whimpering in pain, losing all his hope to mate with Alice. When Aana is taking time to accept this mate bond, Rex and Alice already fall in love with each other.

Rex lost all hope and was growling in pain and Aaron was trying to understand everything. His mind revolved around Aana's words of rejection. He took a deep breath.

"I Aaron smith accept"

"No" Rex interrupts him. "How can you accept her rejection?"

"Then you only tell me what should I do? Aana doesn't want us, Rex" he mumbled and wiped his tears. He looks at his tears which remind him of Alice who wipes her tears lovingly.

"I swear Aaron that I only love you and Rex" A smile broke on Aaron's lips remembering Alice's words. He started remembering what she said before when Aana rejected her job offer.
