Chapter 72: Roman's Gift

With the fish in hand, the cooking process became much easier. I skillfully prepared the fish, gathered the seasonings, and before long, a steaming hot fish dish was ready.

When I looked up, I noticed Antoninus standing by the door, leaning on an IV stand. He looked like a knight with a spear, appearing handsome and charming as ever. His steps were as calm and indifferent as his expression.

I picked up a piece of fish with my knife and fork, blew on it to cool it down, and brought it to his lips. "Try this, how does it taste?"

Antoninus chewed thoughtfully for a moment and then replied in a calm tone, "The taste is good, but the presentation of the dish needs improvement."

"What do you mean?" I asked, feeling a bit annoyed. After all my hard work, he had the audacity to nitpick?

"I'm saying this because it's important," Antoninus explained. "In a little while, I'll be visiting an orphanage, and we will be making lunch for the children together."
