I gave him a small smile as he walked from behind his desk and patted me on the back. I opened the door and Isabella was standing there.

“There you are. I wondered where you had disappeared to,” she said.

“Sorry, Isabella. I had to steal my boy and go over a few things with him. Now where’s that granddaughter of mine?” My father smiled at her.

As we walked out to the backyard, we heard screaming. I looked over to my right and saw Camden on the ground, kicking and screaming at the top of his lungs. I started to go to him and Isabella grabbed my arm. “Richard , don’t.”
