43. Just a Kiss?

For over two hours, they enjoyed the romantic movie that Lucas had chosen. Although it was a sweet romantic story, for some reason, perhaps due to the baby or her deep emotional connection to the characters, Deasy became emotional and shed tears. There were parts of the film that touched her deeply and moved her to tears.

Lucas even reached for Deasy's shoulder, pulling her close, and tried to soothe her emotions to prevent her from getting too lost in the movie they were watching.

"Are you okay?"

Deasy nodded again. Inside, she felt embarrassed for being so emotional that she cried in front of Lucas.

She knew there were no sad scenes or separations of lovers in the movie. So why was she shedding tears?

"Shall we eat?" Deasy redirected the conversation.

"Yes, let's eat. I'm sure you're hungry too."

Lucas then took Deasy to one of the restaurants he believed would suit her taste.
