Chapter 5 - Killing Time

*Pryce Winsley's POV*

---

"Pryce, you're back. Hi!" She greeted me with her face in relief and joy mixed, and she attempted to go near the bed to touch me. And I went to look at her from head to toe, not that I am checking her out, but I kinda really am. Well, doesn't she realize that she is on fire? She could have, right?

"Oh, yeah, right. Fudge it! Oh, shit. Why is this not coming off?" She mumbled when she finally saw her situation; while she's been patting the parts of her clothes that have been on fire, yet her hands are also on fire. Nice one, my freak.

Then, I just stared in wonder at my mate, who has been panicking while busy trying to kill the flame that surrounds her body. I actually don't know what I should do to help her out. Cheer? Hmm.

When I looked around me, I just noticed that there were things attached to both of my arms. Oh, is it blood that has been flowing through these tubes? I think it is.

I tried to move my arms and legs, and thankfully, I can move them. It feels so good to be able to make any motion again. And, I am sure that I can breathe now, too!

As I noticed that there was no more red matter on the bags, I pulled out the needles from my arms, so I could finally sit up and help my girlfriend with her dilemma.

"You feel okay now, Pryce?" She asked me, smiling widely, and I nodded my head in response as I sat on the bed while looking at her in a bit of worry.

"Yeah, I feel good. But... You aren't. Need help?" I answered and asked her, to which she chuckled softly and nodded her head lightly while still trying to figure out how to get herself out of the fire.

And I stood up to find a way that I could do to kill the fire on her or else this whole house will get burned.

"Alright, I'll try to check if I could find some water in the bathro--- Woah!" I uttered but stopped in shock as I found myself inside the bathroom, and I don't have any idea how I arrived here.

"How in the world did... No way." I let out as I tried to look at myself in the mirror, yet I can't see anything. What the hell is happening? Am I dreaming? Well, I am very sure that I am not. I can touch my body and my clothes.

"Pryce?"

I heard Blair call me, and I tried to control my breathing. Damn, I better let this playful mind and eyes of mine stay still.

I need water, and water is what I am here for.

And I open the faucet to look for any running water, yet there is none. Then I tried opening and closing it again, but I was startled when it broke. Oh, no.

I looked at my hands and felt like I just used a reasonable amount of strength, but why did it break?

"Umm, Blair? There is no water!" I yelled back and headed to the door to go back to where she was. I turned the doorknob open, and guess what? It didn't break. The door just got detached from the frame. How nice? I have been destroying my girlfriend's house unintentionally with some forces that I don't have any idea where they are coming from. I guess it's from being a werewolf? Hmm. Maybe.

"Blair? Where are you?" I called her as I placed the door gently on the floor, and I looked around the room to find my mate.

"Where did that freak go?" I muttered when I found her nowhere around, and I heard a faint voice.

"Lawn."

Oh, it's her.

Then I hurried to the door but contemplated holding it open to head out. What if it will be broken again? Well, she could simply fix it. I will just help her.

So I opened the door as slowly as possible, and thankfully, it opened without being wrecked.

And I stepped out then wondered as to why I am now right outside the house, while the rain is pouring so hard. Mhmm.

"Oh, water. Thank goodness!" I let out in relief as I saw my mate under the rain, and the fire had finally been killed.

"Wanna join?" She asked me with her bright smile, and I giggled when she offered me a hand.

"Why not?" I answered without a second thought because... Mmm, no, there is no need for a damn reason.

I held her hand while I held myself from smiling like an idiot, and I suddenly felt something like a spark from her touch. Or is it just me being corny? Whatever. I just feel so happy right now that I am with her.

Then I was kind of surprised when she pulled me in her arms and hugged me tightly. Oh, I love this feeling so much. I don't know, but it feels like a very long time ago that we have been apart. I missed her. So greatly.

When we broke off from the hug, I looked her in the eyes and noticed that they were red, then I looked at her partially burned outfit.

"Dr. Thales?" I read the name on the robe, and she let out a laugh while trying to look at herself.

"This? I... I just stole some things from a hospital. No, I'll just... maybe pay later." She answered while giggling, and I just kept staring at her lovely face as I made it clear from the stray strands of her wet brown hair.

"Mhmm, and I believe that we have a lot to talk about, aren't we?" I uttered and traced my left fingers from her neck to her cheek and now to her soft pink lips.

"Yeah, yeah, of course. There are... Or... Or maybe we should just... Kiss? What do you say?" She replied with her smirking face, and I chuckled at her words. She knows me so well.

"Well, that sounds like a great plan to me. But it's better if you just did it right away." I answered, which made her a bit of a surprise.

And I held both her hands to lead her back inside her home to shelter us from the rain or just be in a place where we could change into some dry clothes. But not without taking off these wet ones. Showering first seems like a good idea, too, but we have no water. We should just settle with what we have right now. And what we have right now is more than enough. She is more than enough for me.

When we arrived at her room, I tried switching the light on, but there was nothing. Anyway, I could see clearly even if it's dark. Perks of being something else other than being a human, I guess.

"The power system is dead. Killed, I mean." Blair uttered while she did something with her hands that made the things from the hospital near her bed, went floating to the corner of the room. Then I saw some things that flew out from the drawer at the nightstand, and she lit them up. Candles. Scented candles. Hmm. Whatta witch.

"And now... where are we, Babe?" She asked with a pet name that made my ears perk up, and I snapped my head to look at her with my sharp stare.

"What? Don't you like it? What do you like? Do you prefer... Sweetheart? Honey-bee? Cupcake? Pumpkin? Or what?" She asked me with a hint of nervousness and a drizzle of cockiness, and I just let out a laugh in response.

"You can call me anything you want, Blair," I answered as I walked near to her, and a broad smile slowly crept on her face.

"Anything?" She asked to confirm and moistened her lips with her tongue, and I kinda sensed something different towards her as her eyes changed into green. Her human eyes. I feel weird. But a good kind of weird.

"Yeah, anything," I answered and stood in front of her to finally start what we should have. The kiss. Yeah, just a kiss.

"Alright, Anything. Come here closer, and let me show you what I feel for you, Anything. What do you think, Anything? Should we start now?" She told me while holding my hands, and I took a very deep breath to keep my cool and not say anything. Why? Why is my mate like this?

To just ignore this creature's silliness, I wrapped my arms around her neck, so we could not make it deeper to the point where I could tickle her sides till she couldn't breathe. Oh, I really missed this person: her and her crazy side.

"How does it feel like being a vampire, Anything? Is it bad? Good? Meh?" She asked me, and I went to look at her grinning face with my blinking eyes in wonder. What did she just say?

"Who-what vampire? Vampire? Me?" I asked her in confusion, and she just nodded her head in response.

Seriously?
