“What? Why? You think it's stupid, don’t you?”, she sighed and sat down. Evan was still laughing for a good minute before half falling on her shoulder.

“Jeez. Nursery isn’t easy to break into. You know we protect young ones. And breaking the protocol is going to make Noah angry is all.” He reasoned.

“Why does everyone keep forgetting I worked there?”, frustration seeped in her voice.

Evan lay back on his forearms, the blue t-shirt stretching to the shape of his muscled torso.

She wasn’t looking at him anymore, continuing her tirade.

“I worked there alright. The fences so graciously built strike me as different. Want to know what?” She said to him, her head angled down.

“What?”

“Are we trying to keep something from getting in or the kids from getting out?” Her eyes bore into his. An anvil bludgeoning his happiness in her presence.

He understood what she meant. Until three years afo, he was trapped in lusxurious hallways, opulent living conditions, with best services, from those teac
