“I’ll kill that Alpha!

I’ll fucking destroy those rogues.

I’ll kill them all!” he kept muttering to himself, pulling his hand through his head repeatedly. We drove back home in silence, and I could tell that Xander was as furious as hell. After telling him about my family, he told me about Celia, his chosen mate, and how my father reached out to her and offered to exchange information about the rogues to the king.

It hurt to know that these rogues used to be like family to us, and yet my father was willing to betray them. It means he is the traitor everyone says he is, and he sold out his own brothers to gain the king's approval. That makes me the daughter of a traitor and a rogue. I’m tempted to hate him for putting our lives in danger and making me an orphan. But I couldn’t hate a man for looking out for his family, can I?

At the end of the day, I believe he did what he did because he was concerned about our safety, and that is all that truly matters. At least I don’t h
