POV: Heather

I had a strange feeling, and the hairs on my body stood alert, warning me of a looming danger. I opened my eyes to see Vinnie glaring daggers at me, with her canines out and her claws extending out of her fingers. She was shifting into her beast, right in front of me and it scared the shit out of me.

I don’t know if she is doing this on purpose, or maybe her beast has taken over and she has no control over it. But the fact remains that she is standing over me on the bed, glaring furiously at me, her eyes glowing in anger. I got up abruptly and moved back on the big bed, putting some distance between us. I only stopped when my back hit the headrest. She smiled evilly, enjoying the fear in my eyes.
