It was rare that any of my family came to me for weapons anymore. I forged as much as I could. Now I simply make replacements for them if they ever lose their weapons. Not that they were ever truly lost, they all came back here. To me, it simply meant they needed improvement. Selene was the one aunt that refused weapons. She saw no need for violence and her justice was served through nudging fates and manipulating outcomes. I think she is the one most should refer to as Karma, because that is how she operated. If you pleased her, she manipulated events in your favor. If you piss her off, well, not even Gaia can save you. I had to give a lot of thought to what weapon I would create that would be fitting for the Goddess of the Moon, who cherished life and wanted nothing more than peace.
*Unknown POV*I had watched and waited for countless centuries. Creation, living and dying, progressing and failing. It was a never-ending cycle that played on relentlessly. I wanted to change it. I wanted to turn it upon its head. Tired of dealing with countless failures, praying for salvation and redemption. So many pray to God. Just God. They don’t even give him a name. Some would argue Yahweh is a name. But it still just means God. We’re all gods. There are so many of us, we’re more numerous than stars in the sky. Fucking God Almighty can kiss my ass. They don’t even realize I’m the being they are praying to. They think I’m a ball of love and light and all things good and gracious.Pathetic humans. Weak spineless beings made to be playthings for my creations. They’ll never learn. Every
*Elentari POV*We got back to the castle and Lily was stuck to my hip. It was kinda cute, though what I found cuter was the fact that Stacie and Aranelda were stuck to each other like glue as well. I don’t know if he told her, or will tell her about their fate bond. Maybe he’s waiting until she’s eighteen. That’ll be next year. The gates opened for us and Lily, along with all of her siblings, let out a chorus of ooh’s and aah’s. I shook my head a bit, but I understand the impressive nature of this building. It was probably more so for them, being fairies with their natural connection. They probably felt the spirit of the building, the fact that it was somewhat alive. The staff ushered us into the large dining room. It seemed to have grown since I last stepped foot here. I mean, it was large before, able to seat around a hundred people if need be, but this is massive now. There were multiple tables with one head table. Currently, the head table has chairs on both sides across its leng
*Hephaestus POV*In all of my eternity of living, I have never felt so nervous or uncomfortable. The portal opened and I entered into the dining room of the castle with Alke by my side. She understood this wasn’t a regular thing for me. I was feeling compelled to go to this mortal and interact with her. I wanted to pretend it was out of protection for Selene, but I knew it wasn’t. I also knew Selene didn’t give Titans fate bonds with mortals. She gave mortals mate bonds. Only Fate and Destiny could give a bond of Fate that would tie a Titan or child of a Titan to another. We weren’t exactly… faithful beings. I am not exactly a looker. More specifically, I’m known as the ugliest out of all of the Titan’s children. I have no idea why Aphrodite married me for a time. We weren’t a match in any way, shape or form. She wasn’t faithful to me, I wasn’t faithful to her. Match made in the Underworld, right? I really do think that’s where the tale ‘Beauty and the Beast’ came from.I bowed as A
*Elentari POV*Alke and Hephaestus came through the portal, and I was shocked. He had made it clear he didn’t do favors for mortals, didn’t want to deal with me, and would have Alke deliver the weapon once it was done. Now he was carrying multiple weapons in hand? That was a surprise. He showed me each one and how to use them, some having magical properties to be able to be called from and sent back to the training room. I was in awe of it all. Gratitude flowed through me. My hand grazed his at one point and I felt shocks going through my body. It was the strangest feeling ever. What was this? I looked to see if there was a line or rope between us and I did not see one. I took a breath in, slightly relieved an
*Hephaestus POV*I watched her leave the room after talking with her parents. I couldn’t help that my eyes followed her. I breathed in her scent as she left the room. I was lost in my thoughts for a few moments. Alke elbowed me and nodded towards the Queen and King.“Can you tell me what is going on?” Belle asked me. She was a very kind and perceptive soul. Her mate was perceptive but not as kind. They complimented each other well. “I don’t see a fate bond between the two of you, so why are you so fixated on my child?” Her question was very pointed.“Your Majesty, you d
*Hephaestus POV*I entered the room, it was dark and gothic. I had to smile a bit. She was a baby bat. I walked through being careful not to touch anything. I didn’t want to leave an imprint on her if she didn’t accept me right away. That would be rude. I was being pulled towards the side of the room, almost as if I was going into the wall. The wall gave way as I approached it. I was now in a bright room with a lot of weapons I had made in it. The weapons seemed to hum as I walked past them. I had never seen so many of my creations in one place outside of my own workshop.Elentari was in front of me. Her back muscles are accentuated by her mediation pose and outline of her top. I had to swallow my saliva and s
*Elentari POV*If I hadn’t been sitting down before, I would have fainted, he looked like he was going to as well. I blinked four or five times, to see if he was going to disappear. ‘Selene? Is this… real?’ My mind was reeling.‘Yes, child, this is real. He is asking you to marry him.’ She sounded just as shocked as I was. My momentary silence seemed to make him second guess himself.“I am so sorry, this is too soon, too sudden. I shouldn’t have brought it. I’m sorry..” He was stammering horribly. I bit my lip and leaned forward, reaching out my hand to tilt his head up. I gathered all my
*Lily POV*This was beyond magical. We were at a royal dinner. I was sitting next to a Royal Princess. She invited me here. I was swimming in pure happiness. It was a little strange once she left, but I understood she wanted some quiet time. I could totally vibe with that. My siblings were trying to run amuck around the dining hall but the King and Queen didn’t seem to mind. I talked with Hap and Alke about various mortal issues, how we used agriculture to heal, and what gave us fairies our powers. It was interesting interacting with immortal beings. I had always wondered if the gods and goddesses were real, but today I have been given proof that two of them were able to move about freely and one or two more were reincarnated. Talk about insane. I couldn’t believe my ears when Hap said that Elentari was his Destiny and he was her Fate. I had never heard of su
