Chapter Twenty Four

When I reached his house, I dragged myself to the door and rang the doorbell. I waited for a long time and there was no response. I rang it again and even tried to call him.

No response.

Just when I was about to turn around and leave, I could hear the doorknob twist and the door flung open to reveal a tired-looking Tristan. He seemed so worn out and his eyes looked lifeless, his hair was all disheveled yet sexy and all I wanted to do was pull him into a tight hug.

"Tristan...what happened?" I asked and was about to step forward but he stopped me and closed the door behind him.

"You need to leave, Adams. This is over." As soon as he uttered those words, my entire body froze and I kept staring at him unable to believe what he just said. I tried to fight back the tears and took a deep breath. 

God, I am stronger than this. 

"What do you mean?" I ask

So sad! That girl did something. He was too upset and tired for it to be simply a challenge. He would have been bragging at school if it was that.
