Chapter 41

Atasha's POV

I stayed quiet but Conrad didn't leave he stayed beside me.

"What's wrong?" he asked once again.

He looked at me then held my chin and looked directly into my eyes.

"Tell me what's wrong love," he said.

"I'm jealous," I confessed but he didn't laugh. He just listened to every word that came out of my mouth.

"Jealous of who?" he asked.

"Veronica," I honestly responded.

"Why would you be jealous of Veronica?" he asked looking at me completely confused.

"Because she knows you well. She knows how the organization works and she seems special to you. She is the only woman that I saw who can get near you," I added.

Conrad smiled at me and then removed the few strands of hair that covers my face.

"I love you. You don't have to be jealous of Veronica, I see her as my sister nothing more," he responded looking at me with his eyes filled with sincerity.

"I know, I'm sorry," I uttered. I can feel tears forming in the corner of my eyes and after a while tears cascaded down my face.
