Conrad's POV

We continued walking until we reach the end of the dark hallway. I felt relief when I saw our back door. Veronica opened the door and helped me from stepping out.

After a while she made me sit in the dark corner outside our mansion.

"I'll get my car, stay here," Veronica said then left me.
