"Where are we?" Jessica asked her husband as she scanned the place.
"Just follow me." He said and walked inside the huge building where Samuel had dropped them off and didn't dare wait for the brunette. Seeing the lad walk towards the entrance, Jessica followed in pursuit. But as she was about to enter the building, two guards blocked her way.
"Excuse me, Ma'am, may I see your ID?" The guard who has taper fade hairstyle said.
"Oh, I don't have an ID with me right now. But I am with that guy who just entered this building." The brunette explained, pointing at Philip who doesn’t seem to have noticed that his wife was left at the entrance.
The other guard chuckled before poking Jess with his baton. "Stop lying to us, Miss. You’re going to have to show us your ID or else we’d be forced to throw you out." He warned.
"I swear, I'm with him!"
“Yeah, you said that already. Sorry but you’re going to have to leave the building, Ma’am.” He said and held her by the wrist and walked her out. But just before they could throw Jessica out, a voice stopped him.
"Let her go," It was Phil. He gave both guards a death glare that made them apologize to both Jessica and Phil, who happened to be the owner of the building.
Philip walked to them and took Jessica's hand. He pulled her inside but right before they could enter the elevator, he looked at the small brunette who was behind the counter located in front of the entrance. The girl hurriedly walked towards Philip.
"I want those two out of here, I don't want to see their faces starting tomorrow." He strictly said.
"Bell and Richardson?" The short girl asked. He gave him a small nod. The girl then started to write something in what appears to be her notebook. Jessica assumed she was his secretary.
"Philip, please don't fire them. They were only doing their job." But the lad ignored her.
"Hire someone new to replace them," Philip said, obviously ignoring what her wife had just said. "And remind the newbies to know who were the ones allowed inside my building, got that?" The short girl answered with a nod and then Philip pulled the brunette inside the elevator.
Once they're out and on their way to Philip's office, every single worker they passed would look at them and their linked hands. Jessica wasn't used to all those unknowing looks they're getting but she bet that they're only getting this much attention because the workers haven't seen Philip together with her or with someone at all. And because their hands are still linked, any person they passed by would take a second look just to be sure that it's their boss that they're seeing.
When they reached Philip's office, Jessica can't help but be mesmerized by the things she saw inside. Everything seemed to be made out of gold and silver since they all seemed to shine. There are two doors near the lad's table but Jessica doesn't know where it leads to.
"Why did you bring me here?" Jessica asked. Philip looked at her.
"Why do you keep asking so many questions?" Philip answered, obviously irritated. And Jessica pouted. The lad looked away because of that. If only the brunette knows the effect of anything, she does on him.
The lad lets go of Jessica's hand and went to his desk. Jessica, on the other hand, sat on the farthest couch from his table and continued to explore her eyes around the room. Suddenly, the door opened and Elijah entered. He walked towards Philip's table and handed Philip a couple of folders.
"They're here." Elijah said but got no response from his boss. Philip doesn't seem to have heard him since his attention was focused on his wife. Elijah was confused to what seemed to have caught the lad's attention that way but as he followed his gaze, he understood why he couldn't take his eyes away.
Jessica had a straight face that soon turned bright when she saw Elijah standing in front of Philip’s table. She was too busy roaming her eyes around that she hasn’t noticed the lad enter the room. She gave the lad a smile which caused Philip’s mood to change.
"Hi Jessica, sorry I haven't seen you there." He used his hand to fix the curls that fell on his face.
"That’s okay, Eli. I haven’t noticed you either.” She said, tucking her hair behind her ear. “I didn’t know you work for Philip.” The curly-haired lad was about to answer but Philip butt in their conversation.
"Why are you here, Elijah?" Philip's thick voice made Elijah remember why he was in his office in the first place.
"Yes, I apologize. They're here by the way,"
"I'll follow you there. You can leave, now." The last word he said had a firm tone, meaning he's dead-ass serious.
Elijah smiled secretly. He can sense the jealousy by the way Philip is acting right now. He seemed to notice that Jessica was all smiles ever since he got there and that sure made the lad's blood boil.
"See you next time, Jessica," He quickly pecked her cheek and it surprised the brunette. He simply looked at Philip only to find him shooting daggers his way through his stare which resulted him to exit the room immediately.
"Why did you let him kiss you?" His tone was cold, similar to the upcoming weather. He gave Jessica his famous serious face.
"I didn't know he would do that. I'm just as surprised as you are." Jessica reasoned. She's getting nervous because she feels like she has to explain herself to the lad.
"I don't want other people kissing you."
Jessica looked down. Why does she feel like she committed such a big sin to her husband? I mean, it was Elijah who kissed her, right? But why is she the one suffering? She didn't know he'll do it anyway.
"Do you understand me?" The lad added. He walked closer to the brunette and once again, Jessica was surprised to feel the lad's arms wrapped around her. "I told you many times that I don't share what's mine, right?" Jessica just nodded. And slowly, Philip's arms loosened around her but their faces got a little closer.
"And you are mine." He said and leaned forward to capture her lips. He started to kiss her passionately. Only the Gods above knows how much he wanted to do this to his wife. She has this effect on him that he himself, could not explain. He hates it whenever some guy would go near her, he hates it when another guy will look at her, and he hates it when she smiles at them. Yes, he is indeed selfish because he wants the brunette to only smile at him and only him.
When they were in Hawaii, Phil spent the whole afternoon looking for his wife and it really made him mad when he found him hanging out with a guy whom she just met that day. And that's why he couldn't prevent himself from hurting the brunette. But he was mad at himself for doing so. And if he could turn back time, he wouldn’t have done what he did because he knows that it traumatized his wife.
Jessica's heart was beating out of her chest as Philip's lips were connected with hers. He was so gentle kissing her. And the brunette didn't notice that she was returning the kiss as well. She pulled the lad closer, if that was even possible, and placed her hands on his nape to gain balance.
She's losing control every time their lips would meet. Like, there's some kind of spell on the lad's lips that gives her this kind of effect.
"I want a child..." Philip blurted out of nowhere after breaking their kiss.
"W-what?" The brunette asked. Saying she's shocked is an understatement. She looked at the lad carefully, looking for any sign that he was serious. But with Philip’s serious expression, Jessica got the answer she was looking for. Her husband wanted a baby.
Jessica didn't know what to reply. She didn’t expect this at all. Questions now started flooding her mind. Is she ready to have a baby with Philip? How many kids does he want? Is she ready to be a mother? All these questions made her dizzy. But all those thoughts suddenly flushed away when they heard the sound of Philip's cell phone ringing. The lad frowned but took the call.
"What? Yeah, I'm on my way. Okay. Ugh. Fine." He said before dismissing the call. "I have to go. Wait for me here. I’ll be back." He said while looking at her as if what he just said earlier wasn't a big deal.
"Where are you going?"
"I have a meeting to attend to today." He answered while fixing the folders and papers on his desk.
"Oh, can I just go back home?"
"No," Philip answered, annoyed.
"But what am I supposed to do here while you're gone?" She's obviously bored in here and she is also like the back at their house but she prefers to stay back there instead of staying at his office alone.
Philip sighed. "Just wait for me here. Do not leave." He commanded.
"But----"
Before she could even reason out again, Philip was out the door, leaving her alone. She just sighed and slumped back over the couch.
And all once again, her thoughts clouded her mind. 'He wants to have a child with me? Why?' She asked herself. It's not she didn't want to have a child, it's just that, she thinks it's still too early for it. Even if they're married for a year and a half, she still wasn't ready. She's not yet ready to give her virginity to his husband. The sound of his voice continued to echo in Jess’s head, making her groan out of frustration.
"I think I'm gonna pass out."
The meeting lasted for about an hour and a half. There had been some slight problem with one of Philip's branches and they had to fix it right away so the meeting lasted longer than it should. As the lad entered her room, she was met by her wife who was peacefully sleeping on the couch. She slowly made her way over to the brunette and felt a little furious at her since she n
When they arrived back at their house, the both of them parted ways right away. Jessica went upstairs and Philip went to his bar.The brunette sat on her bed and remembered all that happened today. She couldn't help but sigh as she remembered the times where the lad would roll his eyes at her or answer her irritated. She didn't know what she had done wrong to her husband for him to treat her this way.Soon, she decided to change her clothes. She removed the top she was wearing and replaced it with a plain red t-shirt, the shirt she wore when Philip took her away from her Mother. Sh
"Aww!" Jessica whined. The moment she sat up on the bed, she felt the pain all over her body. And when she was about to stand up, she felt a different kind of pain in the middle part of her body. And that's when she realized the reason behind all the pain in her body."Shit! That wasn't a dream?!" She said, blushing. And her realization was proven correct when she saw a bloodstain on the bedsheet. She thought that all that happened last night was just a dream because she didn't saw Philip beside her when she woke up. But she had come to the realization that all that happened last n
A week had passed and Philip was as busy at work as ever. He's been having a lot of trips these past few days since he has to visit some of his branches outside the States for some of them faced a little problem. When it comes to his company, he was very hands-on since he didn't want the other companies to get the deals that big companies are offering him."You can handle everything, right? I have to go now." Philip told Elijah as he grabbed his suitcase and made their way towards the exit of the airport."Yeah, I'll work on everything." He assured the lad.
Philip was currently inside his study when he heard his cell phone ring. He quickly answered it, knowing that there's only one person that will call him at this time of the day."Colin...""I have some information about her." Philip's features became serious when he heard what his blonde-haired friend told him on the other line. "You were right. She was the lost daughter of him.His heiress.""What else?""As of now, that's all that I got. The reason why she got lost and about the contract and other papers, I still don't know.""I want you to investigate further. Just call me again in case of any improvement." He replied."I will." He said. "Oh, and by the way, Elijah called me last night. He told me to tell you that you have to attend one of your investors' party tonight. And that you should bring your wife." He added."Why didn't he call me himself last night then?""He told me that he couldn't reach yo
It was past nine when the wedded couple got back to their house from their first-ever date. Jessica slouched onto the couch the minute they entered the door and sighed. She was obviously tired. They had a typical romantic date. Philip took her to a fancy restaurant. Then, after dinner, they went to watch a movie at a nearby cinema which has a romantic genre, due to Jessica's request. And then they went to an ice cream parlor after that.Everything was almost perfect tonight...if it wasn't for Philip and his random change of mood.
Philip arrived just before Natasha, the hairstylist he sent to fix help his wife, could leave their house. They exchanged quick hello's and she told him that they should bond sometimes, after all, they're childhood friends. Before the lad could reach the kitchen, he heard the footsteps coming from the stairs. He whipped his head up and was faced by his wife's caramel orbs. The shade of brown that Jessica's eyes possessed became his new favorite color."You look so beautiful in that dress," The lad complimented her just when Jessica reached his side. He looked at his wife from head to toe and couldn't help but let out a smile."But to be honest, you're even more beautiful without that dress on..." Philip said, his smile slowly turned into a smirk. And Jessica could feel her cheeks suddenly heat up."Silly you," She said and playfully smacked the lad's arm. It's just then when the brunette noticed the costume her husband was wearing. She's used
"I think, we should go home now..." Philip added in a husky tone while looking into his wife's eyes.Jessica squealed when she felt the lad lift her up the ground and ran towards the car, carrying her bridal style. They didn't even bid his investor goodbye and just made their way back home."Philip! Put me down!" But Philip didn't listen to her but instead proceeded with carrying her once they arrived at their house. After the car ride, she still carried the brunette inside. Once they were inside, Philip brought her down. Then Jessica smacked his arm. "You're such a silly per
